This site is a personal photography project focused on street scenes, landscapes and everyday environments. The work is organised into collections, usually tied to a place or a specific period of time.
I’m Dan, based in South Wales. Photography is something I work on, in my free time, alongside full-time work, and this site is where ongoing and one-off collections are kept in one place.
Some collections are built over time, while others document a single visit or event. There’s no fixed update schedule and the structure is kept intentionally simple.

Photography in Public Places
Some images on this site are taken in public places as part of street, documentary, event and local photography.
In the UK, photography in public places is generally permitted. People do not usually need permission or a permit to photograph or film in public places such as streets, parks, town centres, public events and other places open to the public. This can include streets, buildings, shopfronts, signs, vehicles, public spaces, local businesses, everyday scenes and people who appear as part of the public environment.
Examples may include someone reading outside, people walking through a town centre, shoppers browsing, workers going about their day, people attending public events, vehicles on the road, shopfronts, buildings, street details, or people appearing naturally in the background of a wider scene. These images are usually intended to document the place, atmosphere or moment rather than focus on someone personally.
Photography from a public place may also include private property, businesses, houses, gardens, vehicles or buildings where they are visible from the public realm. A photograph does not automatically become unlawful because someone is identifiable, recognisable, in the background, or did not know the photo was being taken.
Street and documentary photography often records real places as they are, including people, movement, buildings, signs, vehicles and details that help show the character of a place at a particular moment in time. This can include ordinary, everyday activity in public spaces where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy.
Public photography is not unlimited. Legal, privacy, safeguarding or access issues may arise where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as inside a home, toilet or changing area, or where photography involves private land restrictions, harassment, stalking, intimidation, obstruction, indecent or voyeuristic images, safeguarding concerns, misleading or defamatory use, commercial exploitation, restricted sites, courts, secure areas, or data protection issues.
My approach is to photograph respectfully and avoid publishing anything that feels intrusive, unfair, exploitative or unnecessarily personal. If an image on this site raises a concern, please contact me with the page link or a description of the image and I’ll review it.
